Under Off-Road situations such as going in and out of 4WD high & low, changing gears &
directions (forward & reverse) the driveline bolts like to loosen up causing vibrations, clunks, etc.
Specter recommends frequent checking of all driveline bolts & nuts for the proper tightness.
When replacement is necessary use only Genuine Toyota Driveshaft nuts, bolts & washers.
U-joints should also be checked and lubed at the same time. DO NOT OVER LUBE. If you notice
any movement in the U-joints they should be replaced. Also check to see that the U-joints swivel
freely in all directions and don't bind up.
Worn male splines on drive shaft could mean drive shaft replacement. Also check for wear or cracks
in the female splines of the #5 slip yoke and replace if necessary.
