To select the correct key for your vehicle, you will need the four-digit code that is either on the lock cylinder or the original Toyota key. From this number, the first digit corresponds to one of the six key options available. Example — 4321. Using this number select key blank #4 and take it to your local locksmith along with a good key and they can cut you a new one to match. If you cannot find the numbers, look at your key as shown in the drawing and select according to the cross section shown under each number. This select option is only available for 1958-1974 side doors, 1958-9/72 ignition switches, and all of the rear doors on the 40 Series.
