If your FJ40 needs rewiring you probably know that most of the original wiring harnesses are no longer available from Toyota. Specter now offers the Original Painless Wiring Kit for your vehicle. This is not a kit put together in-house by SOR and advertized as painless like some other parts suppliers.
This kit includes a pre-terminated fuse block that uses late model bayonet style fuses, that is already connected to the 12 separate circuits. This universal type kit is not a direct replacement for the original Toyota wiring and fuse block. This is a restoration quality kit, similar to components used in the Hot Rod Industry. This kit is a perfect addition for those custom vehicles with engine conversions and modifications. Each circuit wire is color coded and labeled over it's entire length, for quick identification and for easy troubleshooting later on. The painless kit uses the best high temp TXL wire available, with a 275 degree temperature rating. This meets or exceeds the OEM equipment standards. Each kit comes complete with all the necessary fuses, flashers, horn relay, terminal ends, wire ties and a selection of grommets for easy installation. Each kit comes with a comprehensive step by step instruction booklet.

Your stock headlight wiring is not designed to handle upgraded halogen headlights, or higher wattage aftermarket bulbs. To get the most possible light from your headlights it is recommended to have the shortest possible distance between the power source and the bulbs. To solve this Specter now offers Heavy Duty Headlight Wiring Harness from Painless with dual 40 amp waterproof relays. This harness draws power from the battery, through a relay, directly to the headlights, without going through the switch on the dash. This harness is for a two headlight system only and will handle up to 150 watt bulbs. Slight modifications may be required.
