If your FJ40 needs rewiring you probably know that most of the original wiring harnesses are no longer available from Toyota. Specter now offers the Original Painless Wiring Kit for your vehicle. This kit includes a pre-terminated fuse block that uses late model bayonet style fuses, that is already connected to the 12 separate circuits. Your stock headlight wiring is not designed to handle upgraded halogen headlights, or higher wattage aftermarket bulbs. To get the most possible light from your headlights it is recommended to have the shortest possible distance between the power source and the bulbs. This harness draws power from the battery, through a relay, directly to the headlights, without going through the switch on the dash.
