SOR is again able to offer the 22 gallon auxiliary gas tank for the 40 series vehicles. This tank is made from 16 gauge steel and comes with a heavy duty skid plate. The tank has built in departure angle at the back to reduce the possibility of damage when wheelin. This tank mounts behind the rear axle under the rear cargo area. Tank comes complete with fill neck, filler hose, gas cap, switching valve, switch, wire, fuel line, fuel filters, installation hardware, hose clamps and wire ties. Installation requires drilling the rear frame crossmember, the tubular shock crossmember and cutting a hole in the right rear 1/4 panel for the fill neck. Comes with installation instructions. 1975 to 1984 40 series vehicles require exhaust system modifications for installation.

SOR has been able to source the OEM Toyota 50 Liter (13.2 US Gallon) capacity subtank for the 80 series vehicles. The kit consists of used OEM components including the fuel tank with fuel pick-up and sending unit, fuel tank mounting straps, the fuel filler neck with dual filler switch and control knob, fuel fill pipe and vent tube assembly. The USA model 80 series does not have provision to simply bolt this sub tank into the chassis. There are no threaded mounts in the body for the tank mounting straps. The USA model vehicle does not have the electrical connections or ECU to control this fuel system in the way it was designed originally by Toyota. Most of these installations have used a simple transfer pump to pump fuel from the subtank to the main tank via the vent hose. Installation of this tank and it's plumbing will require additional hardware, parts and technical know-how. If you have specific questions please call us for details. Can not be shipped air freight, ground shipment only.
