The Land Cruiser has become a legend in the 50 years since it first arrived in Australia, making major contributions to national development particularly in the outback. Since 1986, Takeshi Namba, a freelance photographer based in Japan, has made the Land Cruiser his choice vehicle on more than 20 photo expeditions through the Australian Outback. Inspired by its dependability, Takeshi Namba has captured the essence of the Land Cruiser in his commemorative DVD celebrating 50 years of the Land Cruiser in Australia. The Toyota LandCruiser Legend, a Half Century in Australia is a documentary which includes the relatively unknown story of the Land Cruisers birth in Japan and features it in action though out Australia.
