Bushings

When SOR went looking for a new supplier of leaf spring shackles, we soon realized aftermarket manufacturers no longer make extended shackles since most new vehicles don't have leaf springs. Deciding this was another opportunity to create a high quality part made to SOR's specifications, we have again become a manufacturer to supply our customers the highest quality, most accurate leaf spring shackle we know of. The SOR Pit Bull Shackles feature bolt holes that are honed to size for proper fit and precision alignment after welding. This assures an accurate hole position. Pit Bull Shackles are made from 3/8" laser cut plate stock, jig assembled using a 1 1/2" square tube center gusset, and high penetration welding. This results in a very strong, very accurate shackle with parallel bolts that fit right. This accuracy and strength holds the leaf spring in the correct position without deflection while off road in tough terrain allowing the suspension system to function properly. Pit Bull Shackles are Sold as a pair with 5/8 inch bolts.

Greasable Tri-Shackles

These stock length Tri-Shackles (also called Anti-Inversion Shackles) are case hardened for higher resistance to wear. All surfaces are machined for superior performance. They use stock size bushings, and are greasable. The idea of the Anti-Inversion is to eliminate the risk of shackles locking up to the frame under extreme conditions. This also happens when the spring length is too short. Some aftermarket springs and rearched springs require these shackles. They are plated for a higher resistance to rust. Bushings sold separately.
