Used FJ40 Front Cowl Assembly — Up to 1962
The Cowl Assembly is the main body part that several other body parts mount to. It is the "backbone" of your vehicle's body. It is the hinge mount for the windshield the doors and the hood. If your Cowl is damaged doors may not close or operate correctly, the windshield or hood may not mount square or in the correct location. The Cowl can be damaged in a roll over, vehicle to vehicle accident, or by excessive corrosion.
SOR offers good used original Toyota Cowl Assemblies so your body can be repaired. The used cowls we are offering do have surface rust. Some of the dash panels have extra non original holes. Please compare your dash to the photographs. More photos are available.
This is an early body Cowl that will fit the early vehicles up to 1962. This part will fit both the early 25 series or the 40 series. Note the shape of the door opening. This Cowl fits bodies with this unusual early door opening shape. This cowl section includes the driver and passenger floor sections, the angled tool box and the B pillar assemblies.

This is a cowl that will fit 1963 to 1967. This is the type with no defrost ducts through the cowl to the windshield frame. This assembly includes the driver and passenger floor sections, the square tool box and the B pillar assemblies.

This is a cowl that will fit 1963 to 1967. This is the type with later style larger defrost ducts through the cowl to the windshield frame. This cowl also has the air vent in the area in front of the windshield mount. Does not have floor panels or tool box.
